She answered about the spaghetti as she pointed to Dita that this lady didn’t like it. In the midst of all that, the people next to us were asking the waitress about the menu just like we did. We got the Meyer lemon icebox cake that was pretty delicious and tiramisu that was ok. That thing needed its own drill team and Halliburton. The orecchiette looked richer in oil than Saudi Arabia. The spaghetti was so plain and it looked like spaghetti you got at a Baker’s Square or something, not an upscale Italian restaurant. We tried to eat the spaghetti and the orecchiette. The manager was apologetic and she comped our lunch.

I never saw anyone said the word «Manager» quite like her. She brought a basket of bread that she also completely forgot to give us. Oh yeah, because we haven’t eaten, that’s why! Finally our server came back but not with soup. It was nice and how her lipstick stayed in tact during lunch. By the way, while waiting, I was able to observe how perfect Dita put her eye make up together. Meanwhile, Dita and I were just staring at each other wondering where the f were our soup. We saw people that came after us were enjoying their soup. She said it was just okay and told me to get the tortellini. huh?!! I asked if the orecchiette was good. She suggested to Dita to get the sandwich and two meatballs on the side. Dita was contemplating between the Italian Beef sandwich and the spaghetti and meatballs. We ordered after Dita arrived and we asked our server some questions on the menu that was rather small for lunch. Finally she was able to break away and took my drink order while I was waiting for Dita to arrive for our lunch.
Caffe biaggio Patch#
One guy with the eye patch was cool and he made her giggled a lot. Our server was young and she was busy socializing with the other table consisted of four old men. My bottoms are well cushioned with pillowy butt goodness but they still wanted some more fluff in between them and the wood. The inside was a little better but it was in an old building with wood chairs that had no cushion. I was under the impression that it was upscale however I thought it looked a little dodgy from outside. In seriousness though, how would we know since it has almost perfect rating on Unilocal. It has been a really long time since the last time I had this awful of an experience but, it had to happen again today. I never thought I would be breaking my hiatus from writing one star review. We must go back for dessert and coffee which looked fantastic as well from the menu. I would put each item up against any best ever list. Iced tea, salad, bruchetta, table bread, Clams with linguine, spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli and lasagne were all tried and shared at our table. Every bite was a step through an Italian grandma’s kitchen where she makes everything from scratch using only the finest hand picked ingredients. Sure is a date place, but they treated our family like we were theirs. Is a place that any old Italian would love. I am sorry for the stereotype but it takes you right into that atmosphere naturally, not intentional. It felt like walking into those classic mafia movies we love.

The greet and wait staff were all over 50 or even 60. The atmosphere was nice, small limited seating, old school Italian restaurant style, but not dark. Wow! Best marinara sauce I’ve ever ate off my wife’s plate. The restaurant is the Specialty building and this space was the Specialty Manufacturing Company’s own company lunchroom, which eventually became the original Ace Box Café.
